Kingdom Hearts Re:coded Info and Release Date

The latest installment from the Kingdom Hearts series will be coming to the DS on January 11, and later, to the 3DS, after Nintendo’s 3DS release on March. However the release date of Kingdom Hearts 3D is uncertain at this point in time.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is set after the events of Kingdom Hearts II with the story focusing on a message inside Jiminy Cricket’s journal - one that he didn’t write. When King Mickey hears of this, they set off to investigate and delve into it where they find a second Sora who sets off on an adventure of his own.

Fans can expect their old favorites to be coming along for the ride such as Sora, Goofy, Donald, and Mickey. And on top of the classic gameplay of Kingdom Hearts, there will a new twist to it with a whole new character growth system. Also, players will have differing boss battles that ranges from side-scrolling to shooting to Final Fantasy-style gameplay. For those that are interested in it, players can design their own avatar and trade playable maps with friends.

So Kingdom Hearts fans, better get ready and pre-order as soon as you have that cash in hand. The game will be selling for $34.99.
