I’m a pretty weird dame constantly brimming with passion for anything and everything I’m crazy for. I love anything horror-related and anything just completely fudged up, both games and movies alike. I’m not gonna lie, yeah I might yell and get scared as hell but I just get a rush from it like no other.
Besides gaming, I’m a huge nerd for things like Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations. Yep, so that means I sit around and watch the commercials when you bounce for the doritos. It’s all good though, I’ve self-constructed a robo-clone who gets up and get me Mountain Dew and oreos since I can’t de-wedge from the seat during my favorite shows. My dream job is to be able to combine my passion for video games with my passion for marketing, potentially hitting up the gaming PR sector here in New York.
My all-time favorite game is and always will be The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) from the good ol’ days but most of the time you’ll see me on Xbox Live playing Call of Duty 4 (still) or rigorously training to not be terrible in Super Street Fighter IV. I also like Shark Week.

I am a lifelong gamer with a passion for gaming immersion — playing the kind of games where one can be utterly consumed by the experience. While action games and first-person shooters are my specialties, I prefer to spend my time playing ridiculously complex strategy or turn-based role-playing games. I enjoy almost all genres of gaming (sports games being the exception) and find comfort in the lifestyle and lingo of the gaming community. I am very much a fan of older video games, particularly those from the 16-bit and 32-bit eras. I am also somewhat of a game collector, though I only collect games for consoles that I own. When I am not playing video games, I like to write, read books, watch movies, play electric bass, or engage in tense matches of table tennis.

I’ve been playing video games since I was a kid but I really got into gaming when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the arcade game came out for the NES. My brother and I could not put that game down. My parents would take our consoles away, hide our controllers and even banned us from going to the arcades. Even after all that I’m still a huge gamer. I grew up playing a lot of sports games since both my brother and I are huge sports fans. Sports games are definitely where I feel most at home but when Goldeneye and Perfect Dark came out I started getting into shooters. So just like everyone else in the world I love shooters and I’m pretty good at them too. That doesn’t mean I only play shooters and sports games. When I got an N64 I started to branch out to different genres and now I love to play all genres of games from RPG to RTS to adventure games and even fighting games. I live in the Bay Area and if you want to get into the gaming industry you should definitely live here or in L.A. I worked as a tester for EA on Rock Band 2, Godfather 2 and LOTR: Conquest. I had a really good time there at EA but I don’t know if i could handle being a tester again. All the long hours really catch up to you fast. I started writing reviews just as a hobby and I found out that I really enjoy writing about games. So that’s a brief history about me and my gaming habits.

Yes, I have four Chihuahuas, and if you make fun of me for that, I will have them eat your face. So beware! I am a lover of old-school 8-bit & 16-bit games – go retro! But am newly discovering the wide, wide world of current-gen consoles! I will proudly defend my Wii, my DS is an extension of my body, and I love my backwards-compatible PS3. Someday, I hope to also own a PSP and an Xbox 360, just to round things off. I am also a firm believer in the idea that you can be a serious gamer and not be in love with shooters or zombie-killing games. I know that sounds blasphemous, but you’ll just have to deal with it.
