Everyone likes loot. Especially when it’s loot you can personally win and hoard onto your Xbox 360s and PS3s. Spawn Kill is giving you all a chance to win a copy of the latest and greatest in comedic, lootable, single player and co-op action RPGs courtesy of Hothead Games. And that lootfest shall be crowned from here on out – DeathSpank.

DeathSpank officially releases for both PSN and XBLA this week. Sure, you could lay from your couch, hit the startup console button, type in some credit card numbers and pick up the game yourself. But why waste your witty/cornball/madman humor talent? You could be entering this caption contest using the image below and have a code just handed to you!

We’re giving away two codes, we have one for XBLA and one for PSN, so please indicate somewhere in your comment entry which console you’re entering towards. Make sure you use your real e-mail when you comment because we’ll need it to bestow your loot unto you.

Contest begins today (Monday, July 12) and ends July 21st and 12:00 AM EST. We might need co-op partners to play with… So get to enterin’ your comments using the DeathSpank image below!

Editor’s Note: It’s a Caption Contest so any entries that don’t enter with a caption will be deleted.

Lost Planet 2 Swag Giveaway! [Ended]

Posted by Spawn Kill on May 16th, 2010

Want to win a sweet Lost Planet 2 swag package right here at Spawn Kill? All you have to do is tell us your biggest kill of all time, in or out of a video game.  As an example, one time I was shark hunting in the middle of the Pacific ocean when I killed a blue whale. I then swam its corpse to a local Japanese village and they had food and heat for nearly a decade. I was labeled a hero and to this day there stands a statue of me in their town center. Obviously, true story. Feel free to be as epic in the telling as you like. We’ll pick five people at random or five people who know how to spin a yarn and give them a nice little package full of Capcom goodies, including a t-shirt, a water bottle, and Kill Big poster. Check them out below for visual details.

So get crackin’!  The contest ends on midnight of next Saturday!

Leona Lewis and Square-Enix are teaming up again, but this time it is in the form of a giveaway for Final Fantasy XIII.  If you don’t already own a copy or are just a really big Leona Lewis fan, you will probably want to enter this contest.  The giveaway started on April 9th and will end on May 7th at 12:00 p.m. EST.  Winners are to be selected randomly and will win a copy of Final Fantasy XIII and a prize signed by Leona Lewis.

According to the singer’s official website, 10 winners will be chosen in total and 5 will receive a game for the PS3 or Xbox 360.  The contest rules seem simple enough, except that it is restricted to those who live in the United States and the District of Columbia.  All you need to do is send Leona Lewis an e-mail with your full name, address, age and your type of gaming console to either LeonaLewisContestPS3@sonymusic.com or LeonaLewisContestXbox@sonymusic.com.

You can read all of the official rules on Leona Lewis’ official website here.

blur-300We wanna take you for a ride. We can’t pick up each and every one of you to give you the joyride of a lifetime, so we figured the multiplayer beta of Bizarre Creations’ upcoming racer Blur would do the trick just as well.

dementiumSpawn Kill has been keeping you up-to-date on the wild DS creepfest that is Dementium II. Well if you read a few weeks ago, SouthPeak announced that there would be an exciting pre-order bonus for the first 1000 gamers to pick it up. A really sick poster. SouthPeak sent Spawn Kill a few of the elusive of posters to give out to our readers, so that’s what we’ve come here to do.

PES2010Previously at Spawn Kill you could have won all kinds of different things: Call of Duty Classic, beta keys, even Worms. We’ve got yet another contest for you here today that sports fans definitely won’t want to miss out on. We will be giving away a copy of Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 for the Xbox 360 or PS3, your choice, and it couldn’t be easier to win.

All you have to do is tell us your most memorable soccer/football moment whether it’s in real life or in a  video game. I have very fond memories of playing FIFA with my brother when I was a kid, like the time where we made each other emulate the player’s goal celebration if we scored. I also have a lot of memories of playing soccer, like when I scored the game-tying goal and a penalty shot in a playoff game. And who can forget the Liverpool vs. West Ham FA Cup game when Steven Gerrard banged one in from miles away in the last minute?

Your entry doesn’t have to be sentimental or a true story for that matter, you can get creative with it. As long as it’s entertaining we’ll love it. Just comment this post with your most memorable soccer/football moment for your shot at a free copy of PES 2010.  Please register with a valid email and remember to speak coherently in full sentences. Otherwise, your entry will not be considered. Do not beg for the game and don’t enter multiple times. One entry apiece, please. The winner will be announced December 23rd at a time of our choosing, and the winner will be contacted via e-mail.

codclassWow! What a turnout we had for our Call of Duty Classic contest! Seriously, thank you to each and every one of you for leaving your mark on the site, voicing your opinions and letting us know all about what you agreed with or didn’t agree with. Modern Warfare 2 is indeed a hot topic of discussion, and it’s exciting to see all your different opinions and viewpoints. Still, we could only choose one winner, even though you’re all winners in our books for visiting the site and showing your support in a number of ways.

The winner has now been chosen!

You will be contacted shortly with your code. Enjoy the game and please keep coming back to Spawn Kill for all  your gaming needs! Thank you to each and every one of you for participating and we hope to see you back here again soon.

codlcassicModern Warfare 2 not doing it for you? We understand. Single-player may have been a blast, but are you fizzling out on the multiplayer aspects? Or are you happily putting in several hours a night? Personally I’d rather stick to Call of Duty 4, but to each his own! No matter your opinion on the matter, any gamer can appreciate the original Call of Duty that made a splash in the gaming world only a few short years ago.  We’re giving one lucky reader a chance to nab a code ready to redeem on Xbox Live to download the groundbreaking FPS and to relive those many merry memories!

All you need to do is listen to the latest podcast (find it here) and comment this post with your thoughts regarding our staff discussion about Modern Warfare 2. Please register with a valid email and remember to speak coherently in full sentences. Otherwise, your entry will not be considered. Do not beg for a code and do not enter multiple times. One entry apiece, please. The winner will be announced December 12th at a time of our choosing, and the winner will be contacted via e-mail.

So what are you waiting for? Go listen to that podcast and enter to win!

AAI_FOBIt’s a slow news day, but there’s a contest brewing!  Head over to this forum to win a chance at some swanky posters, courtesy of Capcom (pictured below).  All you have to do is provide a caption for one of the three screenshots depicted in the gallery down there.  They’ll announce the winners on December 11th.  I’m entering, and you can all bet my captions will be offensive and malicious, so why not try and top me?  If you dare!

To prove I’m not working for Capcom, Monster Hunter sucks (actually I have no idea if this is true or not).  And don’t worry, most of the entries are awful so far.  You still have a chance.  The posters are apparently signed as well, if fictional signatures are your thing.

madden_contestFor those of you who can’t afford to pay the $60 for the new Madden we here at Spawn Kill have an extra Xbox 360 copy to give away, but like always you’ll have to work for it. We want you to become the lawyers for either Hagens Berman or Electronic Arts and give us your best opening statements. Convince the jury (Spawn Kill) why the lawsuit has no standing or why EA owes money to millions of gamers. Your answer doesn’t have to be very long just long enough to state your case. The best argument for or against the lawsuit will receive a copy of Madden NFL 2010. Don’t forget in order to be eligible for the contest you must register at Spawn Kill and make sure you use a valid email address because that is how we will be contacting the winner. Read on to hear all about the lawsuit.
