Throughout this week Marvel.com gave everyone previews of what the next LittleBigPlanet costume pack will look like and I don’t think fans will be disappointed when it hits next week. The LittleBigPlanet Marvel Costume Pack 4 will feature The Hulk, Storm, the Punisher, Green Goblin and Magneto. The Hulk sackboy looks awesome with it’s muscle suit and who knew the Green Goblin could look so cute! Check out the first screens for each of the 5 characters featured in the upcoming DLC. Marvel Costume Pack 4 will be available on August 17 on the PlayStation Store.

Some Mass Effect fans noticed something strange with the “Lair of the Shadow Broker” screenshots: the guns in them don’t exist in the current game or DLC. Quickly responding was BioWare community manager Jarrett Lee, who explained that these new weapons were part of an upcoming DLC weapon pack that will be released before “Lair of the Shadow Broker.”

Following the free DLC Outlaws to The End Co-Op Mission Pack released last month for Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar is planning a series of DLC set to release over the next few months. Announced today there will be four packs hitting Red Dead Redemption starting with the Legends and Killers Pack set to release at the begging of August. Unlike the Outlaws Pack each of the add-on content will cost money but it’s not bad considering what you will be gettinig. The first pack will consist of new map locations and new weapons while the rest of the DLC will include things like new multiplayer mini-games (poker and liars dice), new multiplayer modes, new free roam content, and ZOMBIES.

Judging from the silhouette image shown there will be around 20 Marvel characters transformed into sackboys and sackgirls. The first 4 characters revealed include Iron Man, Daredevil, The Thing and Mystique. Check out the first screens of these iconic characters and be sure to check Marvel.com for tomorrow’s reveal of a classic Spider-Man villain, which could be Doc-Ock. [Updated: Added Doc-Ock Screens]

Think you’ll be spending as much on Dance Central DLC as you did on Rock Band DLC? Well, perhaps you will reconsider when you learn that additional songs for Dance Central will cost more than the typical $2 per song price for Rock Band songs. Joystiq reports that Dance Central project lead Kasson Crooker has said the process for creating Dance Central DLC is more complex and different than from producing Rock Band DLC, and therefore more content will be more expensive.

LOOK AT THIS PHOTOGRAPH! EVERY TIME I DO IT MAKES ME LAUGH. IT’S THE BAND FOR NEXT WEEK’S DLC, FOR THE MUSIC GAME FROM MTV. Lame lyrics changing aside… Harmonix is following up last week’s Miley Cyrus DLC with six similar sounding songs for next week’s Rock Band DLC of Nickelback.  The songs are the usual $1.99 (or 160 MS Points or 200 Wii Points), with the track pack priced at $9.99 (800 MS Points; sorry Wii owners, you’re once again left out of track packs).

Some of us still aren’t even finished with the single-player and haven’t even touched the multiplayer, but Rockstar is deciding to release Red Dead Redemption’s first DLC this month anyway. Both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will be able to download and play “Outlaws to the End,” a set of six new co-op multiplayer missions, for a cool price of Free.

The Sonic franchise is no stranger to heralding the latest game as a return to form, only to fail hard upon it’s release.  But Sonic 4 is looking to change all of that by taking the series back to it’s roots.

And of course, by roots, I mean 2D gameplay, with nothing but running fast and collecting rings.  Sans the upgraded graphics, this could have easily been released some 15 years ago.

Being a fan of Dante’s Inferno and the hellish world it fashioned for me to slice my way through, I’ve kept an eye out on the DLC that EA has been throwing at us. I haven’t run through the “Dark Forest” DLC because I forgot they gave out a code to new release purchasers, but the “Trials of St. Lucia” caught my eye moreso than the Forest ever did.  I think it must have been the iconic Lucia herself who creates such a captivating front-cover image for this type of thing. Seeing a video of her in flight only further piqued my interest. When asked to review the DLC, I said, “hell yeah.”

This is short news, but news nonetheless!  Today on Xbox Press a listing for a Dragon Age: Origins DLC was posted.  It doesn’t say what the “Darkspawn Chronicles” DLC is about, and under the description just gives the original game’s tagline.  However, we can speculate, no?  I’m hoping for something prequel-ish, but that’s wishful fanboyism.  Or maybe the tale of young Scroot?  The Darkspawn who wanted to be a Grey Warden?  Maybe?

The listing is just for Xbox users right now, though that’s obviously going to change as DLC always appears on superior systems as well.  It’s priced at 400 Microsoft Points, which is roughly 5 bucks, and slated for May 18th (smart to compete with Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Red Dead Redemption!).  More on this story as it develops.

Do you play Battlefield: Bad Company 2? Are you known to enjoy a carbonated beverage or two? If your answers to the aforementioned questions are both “yes”, then EA has a pretty sweet deal to offer you. For a limited time only, specially marked cans of Dr Pepper will have a promo code that will unlock the Kit Upgrade DLC, a pack that includes four new sets of uniforms, weapon skins, and additional achievements/trophies.
