Sam & Max Back In Action
Up for some world saving? I don’t think you have to worry about any princesses, but Sam & Max are reliving their earliest of comedic adventures via the Xbox LIVE Arcade starting June 17th with the release of Sam & Max Save the World. It has been given an HD makeover courtesy of Miley Cyrus’ very own stylist and will include foreign-language subtitles in several languages for those who cannot afford Rosetta Stone. It features six episodes and is jam-packed full of achievements to add to all the mishaps and mayhem.
It is slated for 1600 MS Points, which the calculate has informed me leaves each episode to be 300 points a piece. To hear a little about the game, here is a snippet from the press release:
Sam & Max Save the World is a sitcom-style game with an overarching story that develops across its six episodes. The series kicks off close to home with a trio of former child stars who propagate self-help video tapes with hypnotic qualities throughout Sam and Max’s neighborhood. Each subsequent episode takes the Freelance Police deeper into this mind control plot, from a casino run by unusually cuddly Mafioso to the White House and finally to a disturbingly blissful lunar retreat, where Sam and Max must face down the mastermind behind it all. The Save the World episodes have won a variety of awards, including a “Funniest Game” nod from GameSpot, plus “Editor’s Choice” and “Adventure Game of the Year” accolades from publications including IGN, PC Gamer, and GameSpy.
PC gamers will not be ignored, Telltale Games is offering it to all those seeking virtual world domination and crazy hijinks for a limited time value price of $19.95 if you want to break into the series.
Also by Telltale Games coming up will be Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Adventures on June 16th for the PC, with an XBLA release to follow it up in the future.

I've been meaning to start tackling this series since I first heard wind of it. I really enjoyed the Sam & Max games that released back in the stone age, this looks like more of the off kilter humor that made the other ones so great.
