Baldur’s Gate II on Good Old Games

In another coup of crazy low prices, Good Old Games has released Baldur’s Gate 2: Complete for $9.99. The widely popular 2000 game was - and still is - thought of as one of the best RPG games to have ever been created due to its incredible storyline and timeless gameplay. In this package from GOG, you receive not only Baldur’s Gate II: Shadows of Amn but its expansion Baldur’s Gate: II: Throne of Bhaal. The package also comes with 2 manuals, 15 HD wallpapers, a soundtrack, 13 avatars, 87 artworks, a map, and a Throne of Bhaal reference card.

For those that are unfamiliar with the game, what makes Baldur’s Gate II so great is that the decisions that you make have an impact on the development of the character and its party. Like deciding on early in the game on which you want to ally with - the Shadow Thieves guild or the vampires. You even have control over who you want in your party - each decision truly affects how the game will play itself out. Your interactions in the world depend on how your quests and the storyline plays itself out. Oh, and you get free reign on attacking townsfolk, merchants, and guards - so if you want to decide to go crazy, well… don’t let us stop you.

As much as I adored this game in its time, I’m not sure I could go back and play it again. Look at that interface! It’s like trying to read stone tablets.

Btw I totally one shot that dragon in the pic during my solo monk playthrough of the game (which I had to abandon in Throne of Bhaal because there’s a part where you’re require to use magic T_T).
