Family Game Night 3 to Release This Fall
This fall, Family Game Night 3 brings 5 new digital versions of Hasbro games to the Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360. The game is targeted at families, just like the previous two games, and will feature Clue, Twister, The Game of Life, Yahtzee, and Mouse Trap in a theme-park setting. Family Game Night 3 will allow you to play with others using local multi-player capabilities for up to 4 people.
What is unique to Family Game Night 3 is the new feature of playing with anyone around the globe on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. If you’re playing the game on either the Xbox 360 or the Nintendo Wii, you’ll be able to play the game with your avatar. Chip Lange, the General Manager and Senior Vice President of the Hasbro Division at Electronic Arts spoke a little bit about Family Game Night 3:
“Families have embraced the Hasbro Family Game Night video game franchise because it brings them together around the TV for quality time they’ll remember for a lifetime. Hasbro Family Game Night 3 has been developed with next generation online gaming at the forefront and will enable people to play the five new and iconic Hasbro game brands online with friends and family all across the world.”
Mark Blecher, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Digital Media and Gaming at Hasbro, seemed pleased about the new online capabilities, stating:
“No longer will travel distance be a hurdle for families and friends to get together and have some fun.”
So if you were into the last two Family Game Night games or are planning on experiencing it for the first time, you’ll finally be able to play with people who aren’t necessarily in the same room with you. Sounds like a good deal!
