PAX East Gallery: Cosplayers
PAX East 2010 was a veritable treasure trove of nerd-dom, and all of your favorite staffers each came back home with a newfound love for their fellow gamer, otaku, PC user, and as the title of this post suggests, cosplayer. I donned a moogle costume at the spectacular gathering of geeks, but there were some fantastic and absolutely astounding costumes making the scene that mine most certainly paled in comparison! The amount of dedication you see in this culture is absolutely heartwarming, and the pretty penny it must have cost these brave guys and gals to create such detailed ensembles boggles the mind. Some are low budget, and some are high class, but all of them are great because they are our fellow gamer brethren, and for that they should be praised.
I collected cosplayers on my journey through the show floor, and I am sad to have missed some of the more elusive ones (Tingle, Togepi, Pyramid Head), but my gallery of cosplayers should be more than enough to whet your appetite for PAX East 2011, because I know I’m already hyped. Check out the gallery below for some of the awesome cosplayers I crossed paths with. And if one of them happens to be you, drop me a line!
For more pictures to sate your hunger for cosplay, check out the gallery our friends at Aggrogamer and Empire State Gamer have put together.

Cool to see Raziel in the house, one of my favorite games of all time! Is the girl in blue silk a mannequin? Looks like it!
Wow, dressing up as Bayonetta is kinda ballsy. Just glad that it was a woman, and not that dude in the peach costume.
Dude, the whole point of cosplay is looking at cute chicks in skirts. Nasty nerdettes bulging from black bodices is… sort of nasty.
If you’re going to be nasty, then don’t bother commenting.
