tgpThose of you who know me know that I am a point-and-click Adventure junkie. I have been salivating recently over the announcements that LucasArts is re-doing The Secret of Monkey Island for XBox 360 and PC, and that TellTale Games is doing a new episodic game, Tales of Monkey Island, both coming this summer. Those of you who are like me know that it can be hard now-a-days to find a quality Adventure game, and even harder to find one that’s in the true spirit of the traditional LucasArts games. In other words, one that has a sense of humor.

Well, the good news is that two guys over at Zombie Cow Studios have created two hilarious point-and-click adventure games that will have you laughing all the way through, especially if you are fans of the genre. Their first game, Ben There, Dan That, is completely free. Although it’s short, I highly recommend it - especially because, well, it’s FREE. Besides, I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard playing a game before. Zoom over to their website now and give it a download.

And even better, they have finally released a sequel to Ben There, Dan That. Entitled Time Gentlemen, Please!, the sequel puts you back in the shoes of the two heroes of the original title, Ben and Dan (also the alter egos of their creators, Dan Marshall and Ben Ward, who go back in time in order to avert what happened in the first game (doing my best not to give anything away here). Unlike Ben There, Done That, this new game isn’t free. Still, for less than $5, it’s worth it. And it’s always great to support indie developers. Especially if it’s a two-man team, right?

But, if you’re really cheap, or want to know what you’re paying for (and playing the first game isn’t enough), you can also try out their free demo first.

Zombie Cow also has other games available for download, and if you’re feeling generous, you can always donate a little cash to support their free games and so they can continue to develop new ones.

I don't normally gravitate towards point and clicks, not for the last decade or so, but if it's free, count me in.
