New Dead Space 2 ‘Emergency’ Trailer

A new trailer has just gone live for Visceral's upcoming survival-horror sequel: Dead Space 2. This new trailer does a good job in creating a terrifying atmosphere for the game, and also showing how action and horror can be done in a way that doesn't degrade the game's fear factor.

Dead Space 2 Demo Hitting on December 21, New Trailer

Just in time for the Holidays, Visceral has decided to stuff our virtual stockings with an early Christmas gift. A single-player demo for Dead Space 2 will be hitting XBLA and PSN on December 21. Europe will have to wait a day, and are limited to only the PSN demo on the 22nd.

Dead Space 2: Isaac Is No Longer a Silent Protagonist

It's already common knowledge that Visceral will be giving Isaac Clarke a voice in the upcoming survival-horror sequel, Dead Space 2. Regardless of this being the case, it's still nice to hear about how the activation of Isaac's voice-box will make for some much-appreciated character development. The last thing anyone wants is for Isaac to become a trash-talking chatterbox. That doesn't seem to be the case, fortunately, according to Steve Papoutsis.

For those familiar with the original Dead Space, the sequel should feel no different. The controls feel a little tighter, the game seems to run smoother, and the visuals are fairly pretty. The HUD remains neatly packed away on Issac's back. The stores at which you buy, sell, and upgrade have returned, and the monsters are still disgustingly ugly and horrifying. Review: Dante’s Inferno Trials of St. Lucia DLC

Being a fan of Dante's Inferno and the hellish world it fashioned for me to slice my way through, I've kept an eye out on the DLC that EA has been throwing at us. I haven't run through the "Dark Forest" DLC because I forgot they gave out a code to new release purchasers, but the "Trials of St. Lucia" caught my eye moreso than the Forest ever did. I think it must have been the iconic Lucia herself who creates such a captivating front-cover image for this type of thing. Seeing a video of her in flight only further piqued my interest. When asked to review the DLC, I said, "hell yeah."
