Today’s Nintendo Monday brings your labor day weekend to a close with some entries to the WiiWare, Virtual Console and DSiWare collections. An old fighting game joins the mix, a new farming game, some tools to get creative on you DSi and more. Is it just me or lately has the zombie craze and the influx of zombies games we had for a while transferred to farming games? There just seems to be a never-ending supply of farm games these days. My Exotic Zombie Farm is surely the next big craze. I’m Michael Pachtering that for you all.

It’s Monday yet again, and hard to believe that summer is almost over. For those of you who may have started class already today, take some consolation in the fact that And Yet It Moves has finally arrived on WiiWare. And, even better, for those moms (or dads) out there who have finally gotten rid of-that is to say-shuffled your children off onto those shiny yellow school buses, you can kick back and (finally) relax with either that game or even (gasp) a Virtual Console title, not to mention four other DSiWare releases for this week. Nintendo and LucasArts seem to be on good terms. Today they announced that Super Star Wars and its two sequels will be released on the Wii’s Virtual Console. The original title, Super Star Wars is available for purchase and download today while the other two games, Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi will arrive on the Wii Shop Channel later this year along with other, unknown LucasArts titles.

The Wii’s other features are seeing a bit of Star Wars action as well, with a Check Mii Out Channel contest for the best Star Wars characters and Star Wars-related polls on the Everybody Votes Channel. I just hope all of this means there is a (good) Star Wars lightsaber title in development for the Wii.
