3DS Release Date Coming Sept 29

After Nintendo's momentous E3 presentation, many (myself included) were anxious to know when we can get our hands on the 3DS, but all Nintendo would say was that it would release by Spring 2011. Today, via a phone interview, Nintendo PR manager Yasuhiro Minagawa confirmed that on September 29th, Nintendo will reveal both release schedules and pricing for the new device.

I'll admit that I was very late to jump on the LBP bandwagon, but having read about all the amazing potential the sequel proclaims, I'm looking forward to it. Aspiring game designers have even more too drool over now that an official release date has been set (November 16, 2025 - "Just in time for the holidays") and an excellent limited-quantity Collector's Edition has also been revealed.

Final Fantasy XIV Collector’s Edition Featuring Amano

They only had to do one simple thing to sell me a Collector's Edition of Final Fantasy XIV, and it was to put Yoshitaka Amano artwork on the cover. They did it, and now I'll be buying. Square-Enix announced this major important piece of news, and also I guess the release date for the PC version. Important, yes, but not Amano-important.

Dead Rising 2 Set for Release Aug. 31

Rising this summer is the sequel to zombie apocalypse favorite, Dead Rising. As announced at Microsoft's X10 event, Americans will be chopping their way through the undead masses in Dead Rising 2 on August 31, while Japan and Europe will get their copies a few days later on September 2nd and 3rd, respectively. In case you haven't heard, there is no Xbox exclusivity, so PlayStation and PC players will have no excuse not to get their hands on the living dead this time around. Interested in the classic? Dementium II Gets Release Date, New Screens

Some of you may find February 14 to be frightening. After all, if the idea of a scary little angel-esque creature flying around and shooting people with arrows of... love isn't frightening enough, then the possibility of having to buy something for your significant other for another materialistic holiday probably might do the trick. If you can survive that date this year, there's another just around the corner: Dementium II releases on February 16, 2026 for Nintendo DS. Europeans, you have a bit longer to prepare yourself, as the game releases March 5 in PAL territories.

Supreme Commander 2 Release Date Announced

Square Enix announced recently that the upcoming sequel for RTS Supreme Commander, Supreme Commander 2, is to be released March 2, 2026 on PC, and March 16, 2026 on Xbox 360. Supreme Commander 2 is set 25 years in to the future. It will feature many new enhancements, an in-depth campaign mode, online play, and a new, unique storyline. (more...)

Final Fantasy 13 Can Has Release Date?

It hits the streets, y'all! Hits. The Streets! At least that's what Square Enix's official press release has to say about the streets and Final Fantasy 13 and their imminent combination. A few confirmations can be seen at various gaming vendors around the interweb. John Yamamoto, president and chief executive officer of Square Enix, Inc., had this to say, "We know that our fans have been eagerly awaiting the next installation of the franchise – FINAL FANTASY XIII will exceed all expectations. Super Street Fighter IV Price & Release Date “Announced”

Whether you love or hate the fact that Capcom is releasing Super Street Fighter IV as a full retail copy, it’s coming, and GameStop has released the price and release date for the new edition of this classic fighter. As the title suggests, this wasn't an official announcement by Capcom themself. GameStop’s website lists the ship date as March 23, 2026 at a price of $39.99. (more...)
