Are you ready to lay the smackdown!? Well, before that, get ready to make a decision about which store you’re buying this year’s Smackdown vs. Raw from, because many stores seem to be offering different bonuses. Preview: MLB 10 The Show

Posted by Eric "TheHerp" Galaviz on January 26th, 2010

Putting out a solid sports game every year isn’t the easiest thing to do. Companies either don’t improve enough from the successful title or they try to do too much and turn a game that was once great into a disappointment. Sony’s MLB series was struggling to break through the baseball market with 2K Sports’ and EA’s titles getting all the spotlight. It wasn’t until they decided to take a couple of years off to create The Show that they became the baseball franchise for three years running. With MLB 10 The Show, Sony hopes to yet again provide the best baseball experience to gamers by introducing some new features while improving presentation, Road to The Show, and the all-important online play.

devsum1Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon is the follow up to 2006′s Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs the Soulless Army. Interestingly enough, this is the fourth game in the series. A rumor had been circulating about whether or not Sony would announce a PS3 or PS2 price drop today. While Sony continues to deny any decrease in the PS3′s MSRP, they announced on their official blog today that starting April 1, the Playstation 2 will be available for $99.99 (The PS2 will also drop to €99 but stay at ÂŁ90).

According to John Koller, the Direct of Hardware Marketing for Sony and publisher of the blog post, the decision came after PS2′s recent milestone of selling 50 million units: “With this new price, we intend to introduce a new generation of consumers – some of whom weren’t even alive when the system was first introduced in 2000 – to the immense entertainment value offered by PlayStation 2.”
