Persona 2 Gets Japanese Release Date
A Japanese release date has been set for the PSP title Persona 2: Innocent Sin. Carrying a ¥6,279 price tag, or a downloadable version for ¥4,980, the game will hit Japanese shelves March 3, 2026

Lucky Japan: they will soon be getting their hands on Persona 2 for the PSP on March 3, 2011. If you don't want to wait for a US release date (and hopefully read Japanese), then you can get your hands on it at a price of ¥6,279 ($75.04 US).

On the official blog for Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Hitoshi Sadakata who is the project manager for the game released information on a new feature for those who did not enjoy the new soundtrack for the first Persona PSP port. This news should please fans of the original game. The version plans on offer both the original soundtrack and re-arranged tracks by Shoji Meguro, composer for the recent Persona entries. The toggle feature will allow players to switch between the old soundtrack and the new one on the fly if they prefer to hear one version over the other. This is a different approach from the last port from the series which only sported the new music.

Persona fans, brace yourselves: this week's issue of Famitsu revealed that Atlus has a PSP remake of Persona 2: Innocent Sin in the works.
Shoji Meguro, famed Shin Megami Tensei composer, is directing the game (he also directed the Persona 1 PSP remake), and promises the game will see improvements and optimizations for the PSP, including a new opening movie, widescreen support, and the ability to install the game from UMD.
