VIZIO Partnership Brings OnLive To More Living Rooms

Although OnLive just started shipping last month, they have announced a new partnership with VIZIO, integrating the cloud gaming service directly into televisions, tablets, Smart Phones and Blu-ray players. The partnership was announced today at the International 2011 Consumer Electroics Show and VIZIO had a showroom to demonstrate the new integrated televisions.

The future is finally here. Well, almost. Today it was announced that the cloud-streaming video game service, OnLive, will start shipping their MicroConsoles on December 2nd, 2010. OnLive is already taking pre-orders on their website for $99, and it includes the MicroConsole, a controller, and a voucher for a free game from the OnLive game library.

The newly-announced product/service known as OnLive will supposedly revolutionize the video games industry. Using “cloud computing” technology, OnLive's “Microconsole” will be able to stream modern-era video games to just about any TV while their browser plug-in will stream to just about any computer regardless of it's power, operating system, or other technical specifications.
