Mass Effect 3 Engine Used In PS3 Version of Mass Effect 2

The Playstation 3 version of Mass Effect 2 will look much better than its Xbox 360 counterpart. BioWare has already been on record stating that they wanted the PS3 version to be more than just a port. In a recent BioWare podcast discussing Mass Effect 2, it was revealed that Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 is using the same engine used in all versions of Mass Effect 3.

Mass Effect 2 PS3 Gets U.S. and EU Release Dates

Today via IGN, EA announced the official release date for Mass Effect 2 on the PlayStation 3. The BioWare title, considered to be one of the best games of the year, will ship in the U.S. on January 19th and January 21st in Europe.

Mass Effect 2 Weapon Pack to Arrive Before Shadow Broker

Some Mass Effect fans noticed something strange with the "Lair of the Shadow Broker" screenshots: the guns in them don't exist in the current game or DLC. Quickly responding was BioWare community manager Jarrett Lee, who explained that these new weapons were part of an upcoming DLC weapon pack that will be released before "Lair of the Shadow Broker."

Team Up With Liara T’Soni in New Mass Effect DLC

If there was one major plot concern that wasn't addressed in Mass Effect 2, it was why the hell the Shadow Broker was so interested in Commander Shepard's body. The Mass Effect comic mini-series, Redemption, lightly explored the struggle my ex-girlfriend Liara went through to recover Shepard's body. In the latest DLC that BioWare has announced today titled "Lair of the Shadow Broker," you, your crew and Liara T'Soni will join ranks to seek out the Shadow Broker and hopefully find out the secret behind his plans. It could be just plain greed with the intent to profit off the body of a strong Commander of the galaxy, Saren's killer, but it has to be more than that.
