Lionhead Studios, the team behind the epic upcoming RPG Fable III, has released a new video diary with some of the all-star voicework cast from the game. You’ve got your Monty Python, a Star Trek star, as well as voices from The Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, and the upcoming X-Men: First Class. They put on some great accents, especially Sir Ben Kingsley’s charming Welsh accent for Sabine. The video has a few snippets of the examples of voice work the well-known talent has done for the game. Please check out the video below and the full list of released voice actors and the characters to look out for them in when you play Fable III.

Sabine’s kempt santa beard alone should be enough to make you curious to check out the clip! (more…)

With the release of this year’s highly anticipated Fable III dawning upon us (in about two months), Lionhead Studios has released the game’s opening cinematic, and it’s not what you would expect. Let me be straight with you, the opening sequence is about a chicken. Although the hero of the opener is just a chicken, our narrator clearly lets us know that this allegorical sequence carries a lot more depth than meets the eye.

One of my most anticipated titles on the Xbox 360 for E3 2010 was Fable III. Fable II was such an enjoyment for me, but it always left the horizon open for what could have and should have been to make it the best experience Fable could be. Peter Molyneux of Lionhead Studios is known for his big promises and high hopes to push the genre forward with innovation but like most games and game company leaders – we hold our breath until we put our own two hands on the game and see for ourselves. In Fable II we were promised an expansive and immersive co-op experience, and the online turned out to be pretty damn close to nailing complete and utter failure despite how enjoyable the single player experience was. At E3 we got some hands-on time with the latest build of Fable III and talked to some of the development team on some of the pretty creative and interesting things to expect from your online experience in Fable III.

Lionhead Studios very slowly allows information to trickle down the well to fans about their upcoming Fable III. While time cannot yet yell just how many promises Mr. Molyneux while actually adhere to with this latest installment in the Fable franchise, the team can promise a sweet Collector’s Edition package of the game that I’ve already mentally pre-ordered. The CE will be priced at $79.99 while the standard edition will retail for the standard $59.99 and will also be available on PC.

As we get closer to breathing the next breath of life our heroes of Fable II this May, while checking my achievements like the nerd I am on my Xbox profile, I noticed something new has been added. Achievements, and 13 of them to boot, carrying a stampede of 250 GS to be had. They give a bit of insight into the future of the eh… future, of Albion. Looks like Lionhead had a bit of badassery on their side when they wrote these bad boys up. It seems like taking cock shots and making sweet, sweet love is highly recommended if you want to raise the roof on your gamerscore. Hit the jump for a full list of the newly added achievements and three new screenshots!

Stop having a boring nut shot, stop having a boring life!

The original Fable had produced enough innovative attributes to gain a large enough fanbase to be able to lie down and give birth to Fable II last year. In turn, Fable II has touched our soft spots yet again, and Lionhead Studios has yet again decided to provide us with a bouncing baby pack of DLC content for Xbox 360′s Fable II, Knothole Island. It is a fully explorable new area and definitely worth the trip there, as well as a great reason to venture back into Albion.

After recently hauling ass at the BAFTA Video Game Awards in London (for Best Action / Adventure title), Lionhead Studios, in all the giddy excitement, is peeping out its head with a brief snippet of exciting news. Also, Fable III has been getting a rumor or two spread around (psst, I see hear voice actors). So here I am, worrying that Fable II was tossed aside, to be remembered as the first and only game I cherished enough to go the extra mile for the big 1000 achievement haul — when alas! Lionhead Studios comes through to announce simply, straight from their blog…

The news and a quick update after the jump!
