ModNation Racers gives gamers a chance to truly customize and create their own kart racer. The amount of customization available to the player is something we have been hearing about but haven’t really gotten a chance to see yet. In the recent beta there were a lot of options given to the player in terms of creating karts, characters and tracks but some of the content was locked. So what happens when you have everything at your finger tips? Well Ted Price, founder and CEO of Insomniac Games, takes a turn at ModNation Racers and shows us how creative you can be with the game.

This is the first of many Artist Spotlights to come. The PlayStation Blog will continue to release videos of other “influential folks from different walks of life” playing ModNation Racers to see how they make the game their own.

Its interesting to note than fans of PlayStation consoles are usually fans of Ratchet and Clank games, even regardless of their age. Ratchet and Clank as a series has always brought family-friendly fun to Sony consoles, yet the E10+ ESRB rating has never managed to make the game unappealing to older or more mature audiences. And no game in the series so far has delivered more on these bullet points than the latest entry titled Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time.

Resistance 3 Billboard Spotted

Posted by Eric "TheHerp" Galaviz on October 12th, 2009

r3In a recent NeoGAF posting, photos of a Resistance 3 Billboard surfaced claiming to have been taken from Shreveport, Louisiana. The poster says the billboard was built for the Battle: Los Angeles movie set.

According to IMDB the movie is about an alien invasion and is set to release in February 2011. With Ratchet and Clank and Resistance alternating years, and Ratchet set to release this year, it’s no shock that a Resistance 3 game is in the works. If the film in fact releases in February we could be looking at a February release date for the game as well. With Killzone 2 selling so well in February Sony could be looking to do the same with Resistance. If the billboard is real, Resistance 3 might be set in New York with the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building shown in the logo.

ratchet clank crack logoNow available to fans of the Ratchet and Clank series is the list of trophies in the upcoming title Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack In Time. Many of the trophies are based on obvious gameplay elements, while others are only on segments detailed or hinted at.
