You may recall when Lily Allen sang her hit song “Smile” for the Sims 2 trailer a while back in Simlish, the language of the Sims. It seems as though the idea of incorporating real life songs into the Sims in their own fictional language really took off, and according to EA we’ll be hearing a lot more recognizable songs in the new The Sims 3 expansion pack, Ambitions.

Grey Wardens will be venturing to the land of Amaranthine in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening, BioWare’s first expansion to the hit Dragon Age: Origins. It is in Amaranthine that you will be embarking on a brand new 15-20 hour adventure as the Commander of the Grey, either as an imported character or a brand new Warden from Orlais. It’s a short stint that offers new side quests, new characters and of course, a new story line. When I first initially heard that Awakening was $40, I wondered if the price tag was worth it for more Dragon Age. I know it’s only been a few hours since our recently detailed info went up about Dragon Age’s upcoming epic $40 expansion pack. Just when I thought the way of the expansion was becoming an endangered species, too, with the way DLC has become the new industry way to roll. But alas, BioWare has sent us an official trailer of the Awakening expansion, set for March 16, 2010. It takes place in a post-blight setting, where you must rebuild the Grey Wardens now that the Archdemon has been slain. Darkspawn got you down? Well, it seems like things will be explained in this upcoming expansion.

Also worth mentioning, I am currently reading the recently released Dragon Age prequel novel, The Calling, in which (judging by this new trailer) several characters, such as The Architect darkspawn, and plot points are linked heavily back to what is being revealed thus far for the expansion pack. Check out the trailer below! Doesn’t it just get your blood boiling?

The popular XBLA game, Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers, will be releasing two more expansions and expanding to PS3 and PC in 2010. Wizards of the Coast just released their first expansion to the LIVE game in October and scheduled the next to for spring and summer of next year. Like their first expansion the next two expansions will include new planeswalkers, cards and challenges.

The PC and PS3 releases won’t be simultaneous. The PC version is planned for the summer of 2010, and the PS3 version for the fall of 2010. The PC versions also comes with a special gift that is currently unannounced. So if you don’t own a Xbox 360, but have been interested in Duels of the Planeswalkers Wizards of the Coast won’t disappoint! You’ll be seeing more content and new platforms very soon.
