Amazon All Video Game Gold Box Tuesday; Deal fo the Day: Enslaved for $25
With the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops, this week looks to be a huge week for gaming and Amazon knows this; so for the entire day today the Amazon Gold Box deals will contain all video games. Starting from 6am PST you’ll be able to find some great deals on games throughout the day. But you’ll have to act fast because every new deal will only be available for a certain amount of time.

Compared to the report of last year of the same time frame, Namco Bandai's net loss for the first half of 2010 was an improvement. The net loss was tallied at 1.93 billion yen, or $24 million, which is a major gap from the previous 6.04 billion yen, or $74 million net loss. This was thanks to an increase in sales of roughly 174 billion yen, or $2.3 billion. Their latest game, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, fell 200,000 copies shy of the forecast 1 million copies expected to be shipped.

Namco-Bandai have shed some light on the soon to be released DLC for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, called Pigsy's Perfect 10. The download will add all new content, as well as 3D support for both 3D-enabled television and standard HDTVs. The game lets players take control of Pigsy, an NPC that appeared in Enslaved alongside Trip and Monkey. The add-on finds Pigsy playing mad scientist in his home, trying to build the perfect robotic woman from scrap parts he finds in his junkyard.

There's been little mention of Enslaved this year, aside from many people likening its visuals to Uncharted and many others scoffing at the developer's choice of name for the game's protagonist. The game is being developed by Ninja Theory, the team most famous for Heavenly Sword, and it's looking right now as though Namco Bandai will be publishing it for release this October. The demo I played through imparted echoes of many of my most beloved games, Uncharted 2, Beyond Good and Evil, and even a little Zelda, and so personally October is looking like a good month.
