Ser Isaac of Clarke’s Armor in Dragon Age 2

There are many things that can be said of the Dead Space franchise, but I think most people can agree that Isaac Clarke's space-suit is among the most impressive looking in sci-fi history. The marketing folks at EA are capitalizing on this cool-factor by giving Dragon Age fans even more incentive to buy Dead Space 2, released next Tuesday. Packaged in early copies of the game are codes for downloadable armor in Dragon Age 2, which comes out in March.

Dead Space 2 Multiplayer Invites Out in the Wild

Last night, EA and Visceral Games sent out to a select number of individuals to provide feedback on the multiplayer component of Dead Space 2. Beta players will have the opportunity to play with some of the development team, but we are assuming that more beta invites will be rolling out over the next couple of weeks for server stress tests and optimizations of the overall experience.

The beta is exclusive to the PlayStation 3 as of right now with no word if one will be for the Xbox 360 or PC. The game releases on January 25th, 2011, but if you want a chance at getting into the beta head over to their Facebook page.

Medal Of Honor, Moms, and The Taliban

"Americans are dying and I can't imagine who would really want to sit and shoot U.S. soldiers on a game," says Meredith, commenting on the upcoming October release of Medal of Honor. Karen Meredith is a mom. Like many Americans, Meredith is also severely distraught over losing her son in our country’s so-called “War On Terror.” Meredith, appalled by EA’s blatant insensitivity, stated “I find it disrespectful and irresponsible for EA to be putting this game out at this time."

Dead Space 2 Hands-On Preview Thumbnail

Dead Space 2 Hands-On Preview

For those familiar with the original Dead Space, the sequel should feel no different. The controls feel a little tighter, the game seems to run smoother, and the visuals are fairly pretty. The HUD remains neatly packed away on Issac's back. The stores at which you buy, sell, and upgrade have returned, and the monsters are still disgustingly ugly and horrifying. So what is new and different with Dead Space 2?

E3 ’10 Hands-On Preview Madden NFL 11

Last year the Madden NFL franchise finally came into its own. Expectations will always be high for the only football game on consoles but expectations will be even higher for the upcoming Madden NFL 11. The big features that will be appearing in Madden NFL 11 include GameFlow, new running controls, and more online modes including a 6 player co-op. Last week I was able to get my hands on Madden NFL 11 and was able to play an entire game using GameFlow. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to play online co-op but what I saw from playing against another player and CPU has me optimistic for the new Madden but also a little bit worried.
