Review: FIFA 11

FIFA 10 was probably the biggest improvement from year to year that the franchise has seen in a long time. Last year’s title added a new 360-degree control scheme that completely changed the gameplay and also introduced Virtual Pro which improved on the Be a Pro formula. Along with many other features, FIFA 10 was definitely the highest point in the franchise’s history. While FIFA 11 doesn’t bring the same franchise changing features, the folks at EA Canada were able to create an incredibly realistic soccer game that brings a level of personality and tenacity that no one has seen before in this genre.

NBA Live 10 Patch Details

NBA Live 10 stepped up their game this year, as you can see in our review. With improved gameplay, graphics and presentation, EA has got the NBA Live series back on track and competing with the 2K series. Though the game was greatly improved from last year’s title there were some issues that held the game back. Some of these issues were addressed in the recent patch released today on the Xbox 360 and set to release on October 29th on the PS3. The patch brings back the Backdown button, disabled the turnaround jumpshots when the player is outside 18 feet, improves reactions to loose balls, fixed some ball physics bugs and thankfully fixed the excessive turnovers in the paint.
