Review: Z.H.P. - Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilman
Most games begin at the beginning, progress to the middle, and end with the ending. However, NIS's latest RPG, lengthily titled Z.H.P. - Unlosing Ranger VS Darkdeath Evilman, decides to take things from a different approach, by starting with the ending. Our story begins with the final boss showdown: Darkdeath Evilman has kidnapped "Super Baby," a baby who was prophesied to someday save the world. However our hero, Absolute Victory Unlosing Ranger, slept in (because his mom forgot to wake him up), and in his hurry to get to the fight, is rather unheroically run over by a car and killed. An innocent bystander thus has the role of hero literally thrust upon him, and our main character becomes the new Unlosing Ranger. Due to his inexperience, he is almost immediately killed. Game over, right? Wrong. Despite the game starting off with an ending, the main character's death is actually only the beginning.

Cladun: This is an RPG is a downloadable PSP old-school action JRPG from Nippon Ichi Software. Although the game seems fairly familiar on the outset -- cute sprites, hack-'n-slash dungeon crawling -- in reality, it does have its own unique elements that help it to stand out from other games of the genre. You will encounter an interesting cast of characters, and eventually unlock the ability to create your own.

Though overshadowed by some monster March releases, SMT: Strange Journey remains on many radars and as with most Atlus-developed games promises to be rife with quality and depth the likes of which few companies can muster. It also promises the same demons we've seen in six or seven games now, spells named Bufu and Agi, and fantastic localization (Atlus' team manages to translate Japanese humor better than most). Much of that can be seen in the trailer below, which I advise checking out if you haven't looked into this game that much because it relays some important information.
