Retailers began changing the release date for Sega’s Alpha Protocol last month from its October 6th release to a June 2010 release. Official confirmation only came today, as Sega finally confirmed the game’s delay to spring 2010. Sega Europe managing director Alan Pritchard said that this delay would help place Alpha Protocol in a good release window and give time to improve the game.

Obsidian’s Feargus Urquhart said, “We’re very happy that Sega has made the decision to hold back the shipment of the game in order to give it the best chance at becoming the publishing success that we at Obsidian and our partners at Sega are striving for.”
