Ser Isaac of Clarke’s Armor in Dragon Age 2

There are many things that can be said of the Dead Space franchise, but I think most people can agree that Isaac Clarke's space-suit is among the most impressive looking in sci-fi history. The marketing folks at EA are capitalizing on this cool-factor by giving Dragon Age fans even more incentive to buy Dead Space 2, released next Tuesday. Packaged in early copies of the game are codes for downloadable armor in Dragon Age 2, which comes out in March.

A new trailer has just gone live for Visceral's upcoming survival-horror sequel: Dead Space 2. This new trailer does a good job in creating a terrifying atmosphere for the game, and also showing how action and horror can be done in a way that doesn't degrade the game's fear factor.

Dead Space 2 Multiplayer Invites Out in the Wild

Last night, EA and Visceral Games sent out to a select number of individuals to provide feedback on the multiplayer component of Dead Space 2. Beta players will have the opportunity to play with some of the development team, but we are assuming that more beta invites will be rolling out over the next couple of weeks for server stress tests and optimizations of the overall experience.

The beta is exclusive to the PlayStation 3 as of right now with no word if one will be for the Xbox 360 or PC. The game releases on January 25th, 2011, but if you want a chance at getting into the beta head over to their Facebook page.

New Dead Space 2 Video - HALO Jump

There really isn't a game hero out there as intense as Isaac Clarke. Severing limbs is the guy's primary pastime. He braved the horrors of the Ishimura, lost all of his crew, and lost his sanity, yet he's still ready to go out and crack some skulls. In this newest Dead Space 2 video, Isaac expands his palette of badassery into something like a zero-gravity HALO jump. Check it out.

Dead Space 2 Hands-On Preview

For those familiar with the original Dead Space, the sequel should feel no different. The controls feel a little tighter, the game seems to run smoother, and the visuals are fairly pretty. The HUD remains neatly packed away on Issac's back. The stores at which you buy, sell, and upgrade have returned, and the monsters are still disgustingly ugly and horrifying. So what is new and different with Dead Space 2?

E3 2010 Best in Show Picks

E3 has come and gone faster than a lot of us had hoped. Some surprises were in store among the updates on games we had already been looking forward to. We got some hands-on time, we saw some sexy animated pixels fly by our computer screens with all-new trailers, and were taken aback by (or grossly unhappy with) new pieces of hardware from all three mega million dollar babies (Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony). Our team got together and we each chose our favorite game at E3 this year. What were your favorite surprises and games at E3?
