Aliens vs. Predator Outsells Bayonetta

The gaming community and the general public are both very hard to judge. There are very few games where you can definitively say will or won’t sell well. For example with the hundreds of Wii or DS titles that don't fare well by the critics, but the public still eats 'em up. In yet another example of this, Sega reported its results for the fiscal year ending March 21, 2026 and surprisingly Aliens vs. Predator sold more copies than Bayonetta. Bayonetta’s reviews couldn't have been better yet in the U.S, Europe and Japan together it sold 1.35 million units compared to the 1.69 million units of Aliens vs. Predator sold in just the U.S and Europe. And here I was thinking Bayonetta would easily sell on her looks and charm alone...

Two Brains Review: Bayonetta

Everyone knows the old saying – “Two heads are better than one.” For the most part, it’s true. These days I've felt cheated with in-game download codes, hardly as exciting as a tangible keychain, plush, or art book to boast your true fanboyisms with. Sega is amped and ready for Bayonetta's release -- especially because of her welcoming review in Japan. Famitsu slapped Bayonetta on the behind with a striking 40/40 for the Xbox 360 version (38/40 for the PS3 version). A perfect score. Famitsu is not one to just dish any ol' Joe or Mac with a perfect score, so Bayonetta may just have that something... [Sou

How to Get the Japanese Bayonetta Demo

To a lot of people Bayonetta looks like a Devil May Cry game with boobs, but it’s a game that you have to play to understand how it isn’t just a normal hack and slash. For those who have yet to play it in the States a demo won’t be arriving any time soon with the game still a couple of months away. However, since the game will be releasing in Japan soon, the Bayonetta demo has hit the Japanese PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace. If you are dying to play this game, here are some tutorials on how to create a Japanese PSN ID and 360 gamertag so you can start playing it now. (more...)

Mini Preview: Bayonetta

Hideki Kamiya is a devious one. First he sends gamers into a frenzy with the release of one of the most stylish action/hack-and-slash franchises to date in Devil May Cry, and then he decides to exploit one of the most obvious weaknesses of the human condition: the sex drive. If he's already sold the cool kids on stylish action via the original Devil May Cry, then this time he's targeting anyone who appreciates the female form. The impending release of Bayonetta has gotten us all hot and bothered. Here's a quick look at what should be one of this fall's sexiest adventures. (more...)
