Review: Aqua Panic Deluxe

Released on December 1st of this year, Aqua Panic for the iPhone and iPad provides a hit console title for those on the go. Yes, you could still carry around your PSP for whenever you want to load this title up, but the iPhone and iPad version offer features and services that the console version isn't capable of. But does this mean that Aqua Panic is better fit for the Apple products? The answer to that isn't really that simple.

“Finish Him!” in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Now Available In The App Store

Fighting games and touch-screen controls; almost sounds impossible, right? If it's anything like Capcom's touch-based Street Fighter IV, then Mortal Kombat fans have a neat little pre-Christmas gift in the just-released Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for iOS. This iteration of the game seems to trim down the roster, offering "13 klassic warriors including Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Sonya Blade." It doesn't lack in variety, though, offering "multiple game modes, kustomizable kontrols, and updated visuals aimed to maximize the high-resolution Retina Display."

iPad 2 Releasing This February?

Well that was quick! Seems like Foxconn Electronics has gotten the OK to ship Apple’s iPad successor within the next 100 days. What isn’t surprising though is that 400,000 - 600,000 units are expected to be shipped. We all know how much success the original iPad has been met with. It’s more or less all the entertainment you need on the go. And with gaming quickly becoming a vital part of Apple’s strategy, the iPad has the potential to reach even more gamers in the marketplace.

Nielsen: Kids Asking Santa for iPad/iPod Touch More Than Gaming Systems

A new survey done by the Nielsen company is showing that kids in the six-to-twelve age range are wanting Apple's iPad and iPod Touch more than any other gaming system, handheld or console. The October survey has recorded that 31 percent of children asked were interested in buying an iPad while 29 percent of them would like an iPod Touch. Following in at 25 percent is Nintendo's DS/DSi/DS Lite. It is the highest ranking traditional console to lead the PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360 at 21 percent, 18 percent, and 12 percent respectively.

FarmVille Headed to the iPhone

At this morning’s WWDC keynote Zynga CEO Mark Pincus announced that FarmVille will be coming to the iPhone. The insanely popular Facebook game will soon be playable on-the-go with access to the same farm and the same friends list as the web-based version.
