Yesterday (June 30) marked the last day of the Club Nintendo year, so today Nintendo officially announced this year’s club rewards. For those of you who dutifully purchased first-party products and registered them through Nintendo’s website, if you qualified for the Gold level, you’ll be taking home (another) desk calendar featuring Nintendo artwork.

For those of you with deep enough pockets (or who are just die-hard Nintendo fans) to earn Platinum status, this year’s reward is pretty sweet: a Mario (and company) figurine. (more…)

Kill Kast 04: Q1 Gaming Adventure

sk_pcChristmas will have come and gone in January, but doesn’t mean you can stop spending money! The Spawn Kill cast minus a couple of us — that’s Molotov Cupcake, Tigresa, K-Tuck, The Herp, and Snarkasaur — discusses the cornucopia of games being released Q1 of 2010 and various subjects that coincide with the games coming out as well as our subsequently drained bank accounts. Also on the agenda as usual is what we’ve been playing as well as a couple short news snippets. Don’t forget to enter the Call of Duty contest! You have until tomorrow to comment and win.

This seems to be the week of revelations, at least when it comes to new titles, or titles newly coming to North America. Today, Aksys joined the pack by announcing a PSP RPG, scheduled to release Spring 2010 for both UMD and PSN in North America, Mimana: Iyar Chronicle.

Mimana: Iyar Chronicle is a great mix of fast-paced, real-time action battles combined with a slew of girls to accompany you along the way,” states Frank “Bo” deWindt II, Associate Producer, Aksys Games. “With your ladies by your side on your epic quest to save the world, no one can stand in your way!”

The game features hand-drawn anime scenes and sprites, and a real-time battle system. So far, it looks to be cute with a sense of humor. Hit the break for some screens.
