Summer Looking Hot For Xbox Live Arcade
Posted by Future Man on July 10th, 2009
In a desperate attempt to escape the sweltering heat of summer, you might want to hit up XBOX Live Arcade for some fun and distraction. While big AAA titles might be few and far between this time of the year, there’s plenty of other avenues to pursue for your digital entertainment. In this case, there’s a slew of awesome looking games coming out over XBLA and not one of them will cost you more than 1200 MS Points, which my calculator tells me is about $14.99 USD.
Check out the rest of the story for all the games coming out, starting July 22nd.
Here’s a list of all the games coming out via XBLA during the event, I’ve tacked on real money prices just in case anyone else out there forgets the conversion rate into MS points.
July 22: Splosion Man | 800 Microsoft Points | $10.00
July 29: Marvel vs. Capcom 2 | 1200 Microsoft Points | $14.99
August 5: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-shelled | 1200 Microsoft Points | $14.99
August 12: Trials HD | 1200 Microsoft Points | $14.99
August 19: Shadow Complex | 1200 Microsoft Points | $14.99
I can’t see a single thing up there that doesn’t at least spark interest. When you look at titles like Shadow Complex, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 at a mere $14.99, it’s hard not to want in on. As someone who enjoyed the original Trials on PC, I can’t wait to see what extras they’ve got in store for Trials HD. Splosion Man is coming from Twisted Pixel, the brains behind The Maw, another great game. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-shelled should make fans of the old arcade classic squeal with joy when they’re able to revisit this game with fancytastic new visuals.
No one should have any reason to complain about the lack of games until Fall now, at any rate.
