Daft Punk DJ Hero Trailer

Are you anxiously counting down the days until you can bring home that sleek new DJ Hero controller and mix hip beats till your fingers bleed? Here’s a little something to help make the wait a little easier (or maybe even harder) to bear. Get your groove on as Daft Punk mixes it up with Queen’s “We Will Rock You.”

Daft Punk fan here
However, that Queen mix felt a little awkward, I hope the rest of their unique mixes are decent. An even stronger query I have is why they haven’t included tracks like Robot Rock, Aerodynamic etc. (their best)
Umm, that WAS Robot Rock in the trailer, in case you didn’t notice.
And this announcement was one of the things that is making me seriously think about overcoming my aversion to Acti’s business practices to pick this up. *sigh*
Regardless of how Activision behaves, I know that I am always going to enjoy the products that they publish. I believe that just because we are the most informed on some of their less savory decisions, that doesn’t necessarily mean that other publishers aren’t practicing the same things, or thinking about it. Besides, simply refusing to support a title isn’t going to suddenly get them to change their ways, and you’d be depriving yourself of some potentially entertaining video games if you chose to do so.
In any case, yes, that song is a mashup of Queen’s “We Will Rock You” and Daft Punk’s “Robot Rock”…did you watch the trailer at all? I have to say “Digital Love” or “Technologic” are my favorite Daft Punk songs. Love Discovery, though.
The “Technologic” vs Gary Numan’s “Cars” has me SOO excited for it.
As for your other point, I DO totally agree, but I think the biggest issue is how Bobby Kotick seems to think he’s the proverbial 800lb gorilla who can throw his weight around and the world will just fold to his whims. With every additional quote that comes out into the light from him it sounds more and more like he wanted to be a super villain as a little kid and this is the closest he’s going to get, so he’s reveling in it.
Yeh I’m aware of that dude
but I mean in the pure form. I would rather have Daft Punk’s originals than mixes to be honest, but I’m just fussy like that.
