Review: Decimation X3
We’ve seen it all before. Remakes of games that have been done over and over, and nothing new is added to the table. We get it. So what makes Decimation X3, this carbon-copy of Space Invaders, so much different than any other game that attempted the same feat? I’ll tell you what makes it so unique: everything. With its simplicity, blast-from-the-past graphics, and incredible soundtrack, Decimation X3 took on the challenge of remaking Space Invaders, and achieved it with such style and grace that it blew its competition out of space… Literally.

With simple tile graphics, random map configurations and precious loot drops, roguelikes are easy to craft, yet difficult to perfect. Fans of the genre will find the roguelike formula put to surprisingly good use with the indie game Epic Dungeon for the Xbox 360. If you like whittling down hundreds of regenerating enemies, collecting sweet loot, and you fear permanent, game-restarting death, then you might be ready for Epic Dungeon.

Microsoft has officially launched the Xbox LIVE Rewards program, a program which Microsoft had been evaluating for several months. The program works how you would imagine: you purchase things via LIVE and are rewarded points. Users are rewarded Microsoft points for purchasing content, renewing memberships, using Netflix, and participating in Xbox LIVE surveys. The points can then be used to purchase items from the marketplace or to renew your subscription to Xbox LIVE.
