Yeah, the headline is correct. Love Press++: Massage For Your Truelove will allow you to use the Wii Balance Board (and the included silicon sleeve that looks like a female’s back for more realism!) to pretend that you’re massaging someone. It is said to “simulate the physical communication of lovers.” Shirai Lab’s game will allow aspiring massage therapists to choose their “truelove” and try to massage them, with the need to change techniques as your truelove will give audio cues like, “I believe you are gentle” and “Stop! Where are you touching?” Get ready to see more of this at the Tokyo Game Show, later this month.

The Tokyo Game Show is returning on September 16, and we can hope for some major announcements to be made at the event, or at least some awesome gameplay to be shown. Konami, Level-5, Sega, and Tecmo-Koei have announced their lineups for the show, although it isn’t known which are playable and which will be presented in video form. Some notable familiars are Metal Gear Solid: Rising from Konami and Sonic Colors from Sega, but you can check after the break for the full list.

It’s Monday yet again, and hard to believe that summer is almost over. For those of you who may have started class already today, take some consolation in the fact that And Yet It Moves has finally arrived on WiiWare. And, even better, for those moms (or dads) out there who have finally gotten rid of-that is to say-shuffled your children off onto those shiny yellow school buses, you can kick back and (finally) relax with either that game or even (gasp) a Virtual Console title, not to mention four other DSiWare releases for this week. Hit the break for all the games released today.

Harmonix has issued a video starring John Drake and Daniel Sussman saying that the Rock Band 3 setlist leak is “not confirmed” and is “misinformation.” They said they “have not announced anything beyond the 38 songs” for Rock Band 3 yet. Unless you hear the news on rockband.com, “you should know, it’s not confirmed news.” Of course, “communications professionals” would never leak all the songs. Nope. Check out the video below, and we’re working on writing out the setlist they just confirmed for you. UPDATE: Full list below the video!

Metroid: Other M TrailerIn case you aren’t familiar with the Metroid franchise, you can watch a 7-minute retrospective of the Metroid storyline, as told by heroine Samus Aran. This new Metroid: Other M trailer details what happened in the original Metroid for NES, the Game Boy’s Metroid II: Return of Samus, and the SNES’s Super Metroid. It concludes with CG-footage of the final Super Metroid battle with Mother Brain and a cinematic showing the Chozo Suit-donning heroine receiving an urgent distress signal. There’s no gameplay footage here, but it’s a quick way to learn about the series or remember the events of the previous titles. Check it out below.

You know, Monday is one of those things that takes a hold of you sometimes, so I apologize upright for not posting the weekly “Nintendo Monday” updates yesterday. However, to help make up for my tardiness, I have a few juicy tidbits to help make things a little sweeter. In addition to new downloadable titles released yesterday, today Nintendo announced official release dates for three of their hotly anticipated fall and winter titles.

Again, Virtual Console languishes, as we have two new releases for WiiWare and four for DSiWare this week. Hit the break to read more about these games and learn the new release dates for Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Donkey Kong Country Returns, and more.

Were you excited about Sonic Colors for the Nintendo Wii and DS? Are you over the age of twelve? If you answered yes to both of those questions, forget about buying Sonic Colors. Apparently the game isn’t for you. Normally I love brutal honesty from developers, but I think lead designer Takashi Iizuka just created a bit of a PR disaster when he basically sent off some seriously mixed signals recently.

Electronic Arts recently announced the global athlete to grace the cover of FIFA 11 and today they released the NA cover that features Team USA’s Landon Donovan and Carlos Vela of Arsenal F.C and Mexico’s international team. Personally I would have loved to have seen Javier Hernandez, the up-and-coming star athlete from Mexico. It’s great to see Donovan on the cover especially after such a great World Cup performance. I think it’s smart that EA wanted to capitalize off of his famous goal scored in extra time that sent Team USA to the knockout round; I think it can be great for Americans who might have already forgotten about soccer. Check out the NA cover in all its glory.

Black and white are so last season, right? Well, if you like a little extra gold with your GoldenEye, you’re in luck: you can purchase a copy of the upcoming Wii title bundled with a limited edition (won’t-be-sold-separately) golden classic controller pro for $69.99. The bundle is aimed at those who prefer the traditional control scheme a la the original N64 title (or those who just hunger for limited edition goods). Of course, those not interested can still purchase the game for $49.99. Both the bundle and stand-alone game hit stores in November. (more…)

Review: Madden NFL 11

Posted by Eric "TheHerp" Galaviz on August 11th, 2010

Coming off the heels of what I thought was the best Madden of our current generation of consoles; Madden NFL 11 looks to yet again impress football fans across the nation. However EA Sports decided to go in a new direction this year by creating a game that simplifies the formula for newcomers or for those returning to the franchise after a long break. To accomplish this they’ve introduced a few new features, one of which is called GameFlow that not only simplifies the play calling but also cuts the play time in half. Although casual football fans will love this feature, the hardcore fans will not and they might also feel like this year’s Madden wasn’t made for them at all.

Ah, Monday, Monday, so good to me. It means it’s time for some fun new updates to Nintendo’s downloadable marketplaces. Looks like the VC is once again left alone in the corner of the dance floor, as this week’s updates are for WiiWare and DSiWare only. Today, you’ll find six new games to tickle your fancy, including more aquarium fun on WiiWare and some more puzzling adventures on your DSis.
