After a new Dragon Age II trailer just a few days ago, it was surprising to see another released today. However, unlike the previous two videos Bioware has posted, this one has a very different feel. Rather than being a fancy trailer or showing gameplay footage, this one is a motion comic by the folks at Penny Arcade, chronicling the history of a famous magical belt called Hindsight. Hit the break to enjoy, as well as get a full transcription of the text of the video.

The Steam store is notorious for slashing prices, and today they’ve gone and outdone themselves with a special Halloween themed sale. Many of the games presented are either of the horror genre, containing heavy horror undertones, or in Team Fortress 2’s case, have an obnoxiously fun Halloween themed level.

Have you played Torchlight yet? If not, this should be a no-brainer. Runic Games’ critically acclaimed Torchlight came out a year ago, and for its one-year anniversary, they have decided to put it on sale for a few days. Torchlight is on sale at Runic Games’ website for $10 now, and the sale’s going to end at 8am PT on October 29th. As I stated earlier, for those who haven’t had the opportunity to play this game yet, this deal should be a no-brainer. $10 for a great game is hard to come by these days. (more…)

At the close of this year’s BlizzCon, Blizzard announced that they will be holding a semi-public beta for Diablo III. They gave away 1,000 beta codes to random attendees who went to the closing of the event. Does this mean there is reason to be hopeful that the title will be releasing in the near future instead of two years from now? Maybe, but remember they gave away beta codes for StarCraft II at the 2008 BlizzCon and the beta didn’t come till this year. While those lucky fans take part in the beta, those of us will have to sit at home and watch the new gamplay footage over and over, wishing we could play Diablo III. Check out the new footage.

Personally, I need to start saving up so I can be prepared for its release date. So far, I like what I see.

Review: FIFA 11

Posted by Eric "TheHerp" Galaviz on October 26th, 2010

FIFA 10 was probably the biggest improvement from year to year that the franchise has seen in a long time. Last year’s title added a new 360-degree control scheme that completely changed the gameplay and also introduced Virtual Pro which improved on the Be a Pro formula. Along with many other features, FIFA 10 was definitely the highest point in the franchise’s history. While FIFA 11 doesn’t bring the same franchise changing features, the folks at EA Canada were able to create an incredibly realistic soccer game that brings a level of personality and tenacity that no one has seen before in this genre.
