Steam has released a huge Square-Enix deal for gamers around the world. For $74.99 you can get forty-nine downloadable games for your PC, ranging from MMOs, RPGs, action, casual, strategy games and more. In total, you can save $276.63. If you don't want to take advantage of this deal, you could always buy them individually. The prices vary, ranging from $0.49 to $29.99.

DC Universe Online Gets Release Date

The MMO, DC Universe, has finally announced its release date - 01/11/11. A nice choice of date, I would have to say. This release date is slated for North America on the PC and PS3 (UK Release Date: 1/14/11). If you're planning on grabbing one, the PC version will cost $49.99 while the PS3 is $59.99. Both versions comes with a free 30-day subscription to the MMO. After the trial, it will cost $15 a month – or $199 for a lifetime subscription.

IGN and GameStop Form Partnership

IGN and GameStop are meshing their media and retail offerings to have a better standing as a video game website. In IGN's hot pursuit of growing its brand name amongst gamers, they will be making their products more known on GameStop's website.

Final Fantasy Trading Card Game

If you're a hardcore Final Fantasy fan, then you may be interested in this latest news. According to 4Gamer.net, Hobby Japan will be releasing TCG "FINAL FANTASY TRADING CARD GAME" on Feburary 25, 2011. While the details of the game's rules are not fully revealed, the appearance of different characters from the series and summon creatures should make the game interesting. Amongst them will be familiar faces of Cloud and Sephiroth (FF7), Zidane (FF9), and more.

Persona 2 Gets Price, Release Date in Japan

Smurfs' Village for the iPhone, iPad, and the iPod Touch is a nice trip down to memory lane for those that remember the Smurfs growing up. All the lovable characters from the old sitcom make an appearance in the game - Papa Smurf, Brainy, Jokey, and Greedy are just a few that you will encounter. While the trip down memory lane is fun, this Farmville-type game can be very frustrating. Though the game is free, your progress will be slow, because it runs in real-time, unless you are willing to spend money on some micro-transactions. This takes all the fun out of the game for me and can really deter people from playing.
