DC Universe Online on PS3 More Successful Than PC; SOE’s Best-Selling Game

President of Sony Online Entertainment, John Smedley, noted on Twitter that DC Universe Online is the company's best-selling game. No exact numbers have been procured yet, but approximately 52% of the sales for the game have gone to the PS3 and only 48% have gone to PC. New servers for the game have also just been opened due to the high demand and traffic. Smedley also noted that the company is currently working on the shortages of games in stores at the moment.

Death Rally Returns With Remedy Remake

Remedy, developer behind Alan Wake will be returning to it's roots with a remake of its first game ever, Death Rally. The game is a top down racer, originating in 1996. EA to Unveil Battlefield 3 At GDC 11

Coming this March to a San Francisco near you! EA has just announced that they will be hosting an unveiling event for their new game Battlefield 3. It will take place on March 1 of this year, during the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

Along with this reveal, EA said that there would be hands-on time with some of their other upcoming games, and would also be announcing some new titles at the conference. Examples include Alice: Madness Returns, Crysis 2, and Shadows of the Damned.

Mass Effect 2 Final DLC Coming Just Before ME3

Mass Effect 2 was an incredible hit with gamers in 2010. On the coattails of its success came many DLC packs expanding not only weaponry, but also the storyline. The final downloadable pack for ME2 will come about two weeks before the release of Mass Effect 3. No information has been given yet on what it will entail, but we can expect another expansion to the storyline.

Minecraft Hits Beta

As of December 20, Minecraft has officially entered the Beta stage of production. For those of you who are unaware, Minecraft is a game in which the user controls a character in the world, and can basically do whatever they want. Users can destroy and place blocks, creating both shelters and holes. Items can also be combined to create new tools and blocks.
