Extra Life 24 Hour Gaming Charity

Do you ever think, what can I do to help children in need? This Saturday will be the answer to that question. October 16th is when the annual Extra Life 24 hour gaming charity takes place. Founded in 2008, Sarcastic Gamer started this charity to donate money to local children's hospitals. As the community expanded, they allowed people to sign up and raise money for their local children's hospitals. On Saturday, Spawn Kill writers will be raising money for their local children's hospital.

Review: Sonic Adventure

Sonic, a beloved character in the hearts of many who owned a Sega console, has just had one of his more memorable outings ported to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Sonic Adventure was originally released on the Sega Dreamcast in 1998. When I picked it up then, it gave me a new take on the Sonic genre as it was not a standard side-scrolling platformer. Picking it up now, twelve years later, the game just doesn't feel the same as I remember it. While the nostalgia factor was certainly there, I was left with feeling that Sonic Adventure isn't a game that stands the test of time.

Dead Space 2 Multiplayer Invites Out in the Wild

Last night, EA and Visceral Games sent out to a select number of individuals to provide feedback on the multiplayer component of Dead Space 2. Beta players will have the opportunity to play with some of the development team, but we are assuming that more beta invites will be rolling out over the next couple of weeks for server stress tests and optimizations of the overall experience.

The beta is exclusive to the PlayStation 3 as of right now with no word if one will be for the Xbox 360 or PC. The game releases on January 25th, 2011, but if you want a chance at getting into the beta head over to their Facebook page.

Halo: Reach Comic Now Available; Preview the First Few Pages!

Marvel, the creator of all things good, has put the first issue of the Halo: Fall of Reach comic from Brian Reed and Felix Ruiz is now on sale. First Details on Dead Space 2 Multiplayer

Scott Probst, producer of Dead Space 2, announced some of the first of many details surrounding the multiplayer mode of the game. As we know already, Dead Space 2 will take place in the city of Sprawl where Isaac will have to take down the necromorphs and save humanity.

U.S. Little Big Planet 2 Beta Coming

PlayStation marketing manager Mark Valledor shed a little light on the US version of the Little Big Planet 2 beta. Media Molecule sent out codes for betas but currently it was only for the European region.

PAX 2010: Bit.Trip Fate Announced

Gaijin Games announced their latest project this last weekend at PAX. Bit.Trip Fate is the sixth in the series, but it seems like it won't be their last.
