Sims Medieval Trailer, Limited Edition Now Available for Pre-Order

Information is still scant as to how exactly The Sims Medieval will play; it isn’t clear whether the game will play more like The Sims we all know and love, or more like an RPG with some sim elements. Still, for fans of the franchise, we still have a few months before release, and EA has spoiled us with a new trailer and details of the Limited Edition early adopters will have a chance to purchase come March.Unlike The Sims 3, which launched with both a regular and Collector’s Edition at two different price points, The Sims Medieval Limited Edition will instead be more of a “pre-order bonus” added to the regular copy of the game, for those who order early. In other words, for the price of the regular game, if you pre-order (or pick up a copy shortly after release), you will be treated to several bonuses that later printings of the game will not include.

These bonuses include three all-new, themed throne rooms with Barbarian, Dark Magic and Princess themes, plus two exclusive outfit sets: the Monarch set featuring a royally decked out king and queen and the Executioner set, complete with a leather apron and an intimidating black hood.

The game takes the theme seriously, with a warmer, painting-like appearance to Sims and the world itself, and a plethora of period clothing, furniture, and items. Gameplay includes maintaining everyday needs and completing quests, and hopefully EA will release more details as we approach the currently vague March release.
