Final Fantasy XIV for PS3 Delayed
Those who eagerly await the arrival of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV on Playstation 3 will have to wait just a bit longer. After arriving to very little fan fare on the PC in September, Square Enix has decided to delay the PS3 release of the game until it can be made into a much more pleasurable experience.
In response to the PC version of the game getting shredded by the media and fans alike, Square Enix placed a new producer and director, Naoki Yoshida, at the helm. In a statement on the Final Fantasy XIV website, Square Enix President and CEO Yoichi Wada announced, “it is not our wish to release a simple conversion of the Windows version in its current state, but rather an update that includes all the improvements we have planned. For that reason, we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of the PlayStation 3 version beyond the originally announced date of March 2011.”
At least for those hoping to get their hands on the PS3 version, by the time it does make it to stores, it should be a more complete game. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing it anytime soon.

First point: SHOCKER.
Second point: Does anyone even WANT to play this game at this point?
Third point: Will we ever see it on PS3? I’m doubtful.
I still want to see it on PS3, as I’m sure a multitude of people who don’t want to blow 400 bucks on a PC upgrade do as well.
From what hear, a $400 upgrade is counting yourself lucky.
