Is the VGA “Planet” Teaser Video a New EA Title?

The VGA’s are just around the corner, and the announcements and rumors won’t stop coming. Yesterday Peter More, President of EA Sports, wrote a blurb about anticipating what the upcoming VGA’s is going to bring us, and he had this to say, “setting the stage for the most anticipated games on the horizon….including an obscure new title.” As soon as that was published the internet was flooded with rumors. Some think this is a teaser for Battlefield 3, while sites like Kotaku believe this is the a new SSX.

According to Kotaku the creative team behind the Skate series has been working on a new game for over two years, and Electronic Arts recently registered the new website domain names, SSX Deadly Descent and SSX First Decent. Adding to this is the fact that Moore linked to the trailer (released on Nov. 23) in his blurb. For those that remember, in later versions of SSX the snowboarders would be brought up to the top of the mountain via a helicopter to start the race. All signs are pointing to another SSX title and hopefully by the end of this weekend we’ll know for sure. What do you guys think it’s going to be?
