An Indie Revolution is coming

Viva la revolution!

If you have seen the Indie Games list in the Xbox Live marketplace, you may have noticed a plethora of massage apps or some really bad game clones. Well, the developers of true Indie games are tired of the flooding and have planned a revolution and it starts soon!

Despite being buried in the Games and Demos tab, which had the developers riled up when Microsoft updated the dashboard, the revolution has gone from getting back at Microsoft to making sure consumers know just what a real Indie game is.

The current list of games includes:

Soulcaster 2

Part dungeon crawler, part strategy and part adventure, MagicalTimeBean follows the story of their first game, Soulcaster. It features all-new worlds and a soundtrack representative of late-80′s redbook audio. Also has exploding skeletons.

Cthulu Saves the World

The second in a line of parody games in the Breath of Death VII series features a new 16-bit art style, sophisitcated and streamlined gameplay, and an epic tale of insanity, romance and redemption.

Radiangames Crossfire 2

Features new epgrades and weapons along with the new Conquest mode, with cooperative play where you and a friend fight through 60 waves of old and new enemies alike and the new Score Attack mode where you can play against your friends to get the high score.

Chu’s Dynasty

A mix between Street Fighter and Super Smash Bros. adds time manipulation to the mayhem of both genres and has been in development for two years.

Alpha Squad

An adventure game with mechanics used in standard dual-stick shooters featuring several characters and up to 4 player co-op, a customizable storyline, a large world and art from the veterans of the industry.

Epic Dungeon

A roguelike dungeon crawler with multiple playable classes and fast placed gameplay.

Break Limit

A mind-numbingly fast arcade shooter with online scoreboards.

Decimation X3

The sequel to one of the most popular shooters in the Indie genre that features pure arcade action and insane firepower.

Asteroids Do Concern Me

A one-button action game where you must dodge asteroids.

Hypership Out of Control

Your spaceship’s brakes have stopped working and your ship is now speeding up to intense speeds. You must survive and dodge the dangerous asteroids, multicolored floating blocks and space mines. Features co-op, 5 game modes, 10 waves and online high scores.

Aphelion: Episode 2: Wings of Omega

The exciting conclusion to one of the most popular RPGs on the marketplace. Players play as Savion Mercarte as the start where Graves of Earth ended and will enjoy improved animations, more side quests and content, faster combat, a new character and much more!
