Fallout: New Vegas DLC Will Be 360 Exclusive

Although what the DLC for Bethesda’s upcoming Fallout: New Vegas will be has yet to be announced, the company has revealed that the DLC will be exclusive to the Xbox 360, meaning PC and PS3 owners of the game may have to wait a long, long time to gain access to the bonus content (Fallout 3 deja vu anyone?).

The DLC is planned for sometime during the holiday season, and I’m sure we’ll get more info as we head into November. For now, you can purchase the game starting tomorrow, October 19, 2010, for PC, PS3, or 360.

Personally, I hate when companies do things like this, but I suppose business is business. And who knows, the DLC could be terrible, so PC and PS3 gamers may not even be missing out on much. Of course, only time can tell that.

This seems to be fairly common nowadays, so I’m not surprised by it anymore. Maps for Modern Warfare 2 were timed exclusives, and PS3 owners had to wait for the two GTA IV expansions.

    BOYCOTT FALLOUT NEW VEGAS

I don’t get it. Why should PC or PS3 players wait longer just because they didn’t get it on Xbox? Its favoritism, pure and simple.

i know it really annoying fucking 360

    • Tigresa says:

If favoritism is code lingo for money, then you’re right. Because the answer is MS is willing to shell out the extra to have their players feel like they’re getting the better deal by playing it on the Xbox.

Fallout 3 barely even worked on the PS3, crashed every 10 minutes. Oblivion got NO DLC at all and both games are riddled with bugs, Bethesda suck big time.

Yeah not to mention the fact that Oblivion (even GOTY version) on PS3 never got trophies either, but 360 version had achievements :( .

  • Lanthiode says:

Damn it….I preordered it for 360 but was planing on just having them get a ps3 one instead because of the better graphics, well looks like I am gonna have to get the 360 one damn it

It is a shame to see one console getting shafted over the other one when it comes to things like DLC but I agree with the part about business being business. If one company is willing to pay out more to get extra content that is either exclusive to the console or have it released a lot sooner on their consoles compared to the others, then it seems to be a good business move. Though it’s not good for some consumers who don’t have the option to choose which console to get the game on.

Sony needs to get better at these sort of tactics that Microsoft uses.

At least we get the new Assassin’s Creed DLC and xbox gets to wait for it. Hopefully, they have to pay for it, too.
