PS3 Castlevania Save Bug Fix In The Works

Those of you who have played (or are in the midst of playing) Konami’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow may have discovered something more frightening than any of the monsters Gabriel must fight along his journey. I’m referring to a save bug that seems to affect only the PS3 version of the game, and one that can cause you to loose all your progress.

Apparently, several PS3 users have reported the game giving them the following warning, “Save file corrupt, will now overwrite, press X to continue,” which is unsettling to say the least, not to mention frustrating.

However, Konami revealed through their Twitter that they are working on a patch to fix the problem: “Fear not, Vampire Killers. A patch for the PS3 save issue affecting Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is incoming. We’ll update on availability.”

Personally, if I were playing the game on my PS3 right now, I’d either make sure I back-up my save files, or put the game aside and wait for the fix.
