NBA Elite 11 Demo Out Now

The NBA Elite 11 demo is out now on PS3 for North American gamers. The demo will be releasing on the 21st for the Xbox 360 and European gamers will see the PS3 demo on the 22nd. EA is hoping to turn around the struggling franchise with a new mindset, total control. The controls have been tweaked to allow the player to have complete control over dribbling and shooting. And for the first time ever, EA Sports has implemented real-time physics into NBA Elite so there are no canned animations. Hit the break to check out the new trailer.

The demo allows you to play the full 4th quarter of game 7 in the NBA Finals and you’ll also be able to start your Be a Legend character. The demo will include both the new and old control scheme. You’ll also be able to go into free play so you can practice with the controls as much as you want.

NBA Elite 11 is set to release on October 5th on the PS3 and 360.

nba live is 2 arcade and for kids …i always played live but after playing the 2k11 demo i stepped in a different world ..bye elite fake ass game play and unrealistic garbage bs ..f-you ea

I actually think it’s getting a bit closer to real bball and 2K is getting to be more like an arcade game. I want to hold out hope that 2K is going to provide a good basketball game but I say that every year and every year they release a broken game with broken online and they never fix it. I’m not too high on Elite either but you know EA will give you a smooth game and working online play.

      • Smokez4Dayz says:

2k is getting closer to arcade and elite is closer to real bball? really? dude you are so backwards…you have been brainwashed and cannot be saved. I am glad I don’t know you . 2k is getting closer to arcade and elite is closer to real bbal. what one statement can say about an idiot. and you played the demo? In the 2k demo there are at least 100 things brand new you can do in that little demo time. Did you not notice how smooth 2k was and how stiff elite was. In elite everybody can dribble, that my friends is arcade. So i don’t know how you see that and say 2k is more arcade. Makes you lose all credibility. take a break and reevaluate what it is you think is good and bad. you are confused

i almost feel the same way you do but part of it is the controls and getting used to that. I’ll reserve judgment for when the game releases. I still have a bad taste in my mouth from last years 2K, too many bugs, idk how anyone can forget about the bugs but 2K fanboys seem to do that all the time.

    • Smokez4Dayz says:

name some of the bugs. please. name one. send me to a youtube of the glitches. what glitches is this guys talking about. come on, stop just saying that and give examples.

  • Nikola_08 says:

try them both. I dl’ed both 2k11 and elite 11. there is no comparison. I left EA for 2k years ago. all i can say is: welcome back EA, goodbye 2k sports

you were fooled. you drank the kool aid. that game is garbage, how stupid you look choosing Elite over 2k11, you must be under 21. There is no comparison? you saw the bs Elite has to offer and said its no comparison? lol. lmao. lmao. Elite is trash and has been cancelled. what does that say for your perception. EA fools you guys every year and every year up until now, you guys get to make fools out of yourselves and support the inferior title.

  • Ding says:

I would actually disagree.. the controls work in a 1 v 1 environment or in the practice environment when you are on your own but when it is a 5v5 NBA game the controls fall apart and if you need further explanation read this: http://www.operationsports.com/MMChrisS/blog/10431-chris-nba-elite-11-demo-impressions/. NBA 2K11 controls are far better and it plays much smoother this time around… yeah they do have their share of bugs but from what I’ve seen from the demo it is pristine right now and they said they have fixed the online servers by ditching the old servers they had and bringing brand new ones… so there is no reason to hold out on 2K11… Elite 11 is another story

    • Anonymous says:

2K says the same thing every year, and the bugs do hurt the gameplay btw. They’ve said “we’ve fixed online issues” every year and they never fixed it. same thing goes for MLB 2K. they never fixed the framerate last year in nba 2k even though it was a problem when the draft combine came out months before the game released. So i think there is a reason to hold out on both because with 2K you never know what you are going to get. its not always smooth, it always has bugs you have to deal with and the online play is inconsistent. NBA Elite hasn’t proven anything either and the demo didnt help their cause. The ONLY thing you know you are going to get from EA is stable online play and for me online play is very important. Neither franchise is a must buy on day one like other franchises (FIFA, NHL, MLB The Show) because they aren’t consistent.

      • Ding says:

Dude… NEW SERVERS that is far different from “WE’VE FIXED ONLINE ISSUES”… Framerate issues were fine for PS3 and from the demo it is fine. Bugs can be patched… the entire game can’t be and that is what Elite needs.. even then if the online is terrible there is plenty of things to do in 2K11 with all the Jordan modes, My Player and Association. Only big issue with 2K has been the online and with the new servers that should be fine. I rather have a good game than a crappy one with ok online

        • Anonymous says:

i think you are missing the point. What i said was you can’t be sure what you get from either title, even from a demo, seeing as these demos are rarely indicative of the final product. the things you do know you are going to get are bugs from 2K and smooth online play from EA. That’s true for every one of their sports games. Bugs can be fixed yes, but 2K always takes a long time to send out a patch, I didn’t enjoy playing a bball game full of bugs for over a month before the first patch was released…

          • Ding says:

It is and SHOULD be indicative of what you are going to get… why else do they put out demos? So the customer knows what they are getting themselves into. OK, EA has had a more decent online than 2K in years past but what else have they done better? 2K did say they are getting new servers. From the demo were there any bugs that you could find for 2K11? for Elite 11 there was the Bynum T- pose, 3pt hookshots, animations are lacking, control scheme doesn’t work in a full 5 vs 5 (only works in 1v1 or practice),graphically its terrible.. last 2 things will not get fixed until Elite 12 (if that even happens).

I’ll give you that 2K11 still has to prove itself for the online portion but for any NBA fan the Jordan modes, New Association mode, My Player, NBA Blacktop, Offline, lots of animations, superior post up system, Great presentation alone are great selling points. Not to mention the superior gameplay that WORKS in 5v5. I disagree that bugs are the only thing you are going to get from 2K… the offline has always been great and the online was the only thing that needed work.

I was really upset playing the 2K demo b/c the didnt show anything that im looking frwd to seeing in the final game, plus they didnt even have commentary. the more i do play the elite demo the more issues i see though, so i hear ya.

          • Ding says:

I agree that it was kind of disappointing how empty the 2K demo felt, but we know presentation is there from gameplay videos but it would’ve been nice to have jordan modes and so on in the demo. On the other hand, I am happy that the issues with Elite 11 are becoming apparent to you :)

email me a list of the bugs. take me to a youtube video that showed all the bugs. show me an article that lists any bugs. show me the patch lists and let me read how many or what kind of bugs were fixed. show me one list? show me a youtube video of a NBA 2k glitch that made the game unplayable. You can’t and you won’t. Empty talk. I am always SURE I am gonna get the best basketball game from 2k. I am sure of that. Had the best game since 2003 and I have been game hooping since 1985. I don’t know if your gaming goes back 30 years like mines

      • Smokez4Dayz says:

dude you sound like you repeat anything you read on PastaPadre website. THats the only website that anyone talks about 2k not delivering. I played so much online and had great games. I dunno what the heck you speak of. If online lag is your only complaint, then you back handledly are saying that you love the game, everything about the product and you are not satisfied with the online servers. 2K has always been a must buy. I dunno who are your close friends…maybe you should play the nba 2k demo and see the small things that make it far better than what the developers at EA was even thinking. What framerate problems? You try to say some scary video game term, but anyone with half a brain can see all that was is EA defense talk. Look at that Elite garbage. Look at it. I know you are very backwards when you say day one must own titles and don’t include Madden or 2k. You are definetely a pasta padre follower. Nba 2k11 is finally the only title you can buy. No more double fake talk about whats wrong with 2k by peole at home playing live. You play 2k or nothing new. Go play old Nba live 10 by Mike Wang from 2k. I hate when EA fanboys attempt to say something that EA developers don’t even believe. don’t be blind.
