Deus Ex Goes Back to its Roots; Gameplay Trailer
Posted by Alfonso "Fonzi" Arana on August 25th, 2010

Although Deus Ex: Invisible War was a great game on its own, there was something special about its predecessor — something revolutionary. The first play-through of Deus Ex was just something incredible — a whole new experience- and the game was ahead of its time. We know this, and so does Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s game director Jean-Francois Dugas. According to Dugas, he is trying his best to make sure that Human Revolution brings gamers the same feeling that the original Deus Ex brought us 10 years ago. Hear what Dugas had to say about Dues Ex: Human Revolution, and see the latest gameplay trailer below!
With Human Revolution keeping there franchise’s the concept of choice and consequence, Dugas stated “The first Deus Ex was one of the first games that was really bringing those types of choices to gamers, and I think in the end, that’s something that all gamers want.” He continued, stating “They want to feel smart about their experience, they want to feel, ‘oh I thought about it and it worked,’ and that’s what made Deus Ex so powerful. This is what we’re trying to capture again here.”
If Human Revolution can live up to Dugas’s expectations, then I’m sure we’re all going to be in for an amazing gaming experience. If you haven’t seen the latest trailer yet, you’re in for a treat. Showing off beautiful gameplay footage, the trailer looks incredible. The game is due early in 2011 on PC, Xbox 360, and PS3, so keep your eye out for Eidos Montreal’s latest project, Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
