A lot of exciting stuff has been coming out of Gamescom, including the new Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep trailer. Before you sit down to watch it though, be sure that you have refreshments handy because it’s seven minutes long. The trailer features plenty of glimpses of the gameplay, characters and story.

Fans of the Kingdom Hearts series will be excited to see that there will be lots of the usual Disney character cameos, but younger versions of Kairi, Axel and Riku will also be a part of the story. The game is a prequel to the first Kingdom Hearts, so it makes perfect sense to include them but I also wasn’t expecting them to pop up towards the end of the trailer. Get ready, and check it out below. Don’t worry, Spawn Kill brought the popcorn.

The North American release of Birth by Sleep is September 7th, and don’t forget that if you pre-order the game through Amazon, Best Buy or GameStop you’ll receive a special edition decal for your PSP.
