Perusing the list of summer game releases coming up, I sighed at the thin crowd lined up until September. I noticed a few singing games coming out over the summer from Disney like Disney Sing It: Family Hits and Disney Sing It: Party Hits. Family Hits got me nostalgic for the old Disney songs and I broke it down all shower tune-esque to Aladdin and Jasmine’s A Whole New World. I’m taking a break from The Little Mermaid’s Under the Sea though, Kingdom Hearts kind of burned that song into the ground for me over time…

So it got me wondering, do you all like to sing in games? Are you the lead singer of a plastic band when your friends get together? Let us know what your favorite game to sing in is! SingStar? Lips? Karaoke Revolution? Desperately awaiting Glee? Or will you be joining me on some PS3 Aladdin reminiscing? Let us know!

I've five-starred almost every vocal track on the 21st century album of Green Day Rock Band. :x To me, the singing aspect of the games is the best simply because it translates directly to reality. Our voices are instruments, built in and non-plastic. I would like to see a more accurate tone measuring device within these games as sometimes I think it doesn't quite let you know if you're actually on the money or not.

Short answer, I like to sing (not in front of people, where I invariably ending up sounding like a walrus).

Maybe when i'm drunk enough and everyone is signing one of those songs that always plays at bars but otherwise i just dont enjoy it. I thought i would like Def Jam Rapstar sing that's the kind of music i like but even then i find that it's not that much fun, esp by yourself. I'll stick to playing the guitar and drums.
