“Ooh, shiny!” That was the only thing I had to say when I first witnessed the AFTERGLOW. Though I’m not the biggest fan of third-party controllers -or much of third-party anything- I have to say the AFTERGLOW isn’t too shabby. If you are a fan of the AFTERGLOW, then rejoice, for I come bearing good news! Performance Designed Products has just announced a new version of the AFTERGLOW called the AFTERGLOW Prismatic Edition, which is going to be revealed in a couple of months at PAX 2010 in Seattle.

The Prismatic Edition is going to span all of our major consoles, including the Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3. Other than that, not much has been revealed. Gerry Block, the Senior Product Manager at PDP, said that “We made a choice to keep the AFTERGLOW Prismatic line in reserve. When we give our fans the first look at the Prismatic controllers during PAX Prime in September, gamers are going to be blown away once again.” What a way to keep all of you AFTERGLOW fans in suspense, but will the wait be worth it? I guess we’ll have to wait until September when PAX West Coast kicks off!
