Disney’s Epic Mickey and TRON to get Special Controllers
Performance Designed Products (PDP) has announced today that it has partnered with Disney Consumer Products to create some very unique controllers for Disney Interactive’s upcoming titles Epic Mickey and TRON: Evolution. PDP will be releasing TRON controllers for the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. For Epic Mickey PDP will be releasing a special paintbrush controller and charge station. Both TRON and Epic Mickey controllers will be available on launch date for the respective games.
The Epic Mickey paintbrush controller is designed to resemble the paintbrush used by Mickey himself in the game while the specially designed charge station is just there to look really cool while your Wiimote recharges. The TRON controllers for the PS3 and 360 are wired controllers while the Wii will obviously be wireless. The price for the TRON controllers will be set at $49.99 but the price for the Epic Mickey collectibles have yet to be announced. They all look pretty cool so for all you Epic Mickey and TRON fans out there you might want to pick one of these up when the two games release later this year.
Holy shit I am *definitely* buying that Xbox controller. Such a sweet controller design… And that Epic Mickey charging station is crazy, I kind of want it just as a nice statue to have in the collection!
The paintbrush case is weird (despite looking attractive) because it's for the nunchuk. They should have made it as a cover for the Wiimote since that's what you're actually moving around as the paintbrush in the game.
Well, this is an old post. If you didn’t find out in the past 3 months, you use the nunchuck as well for Epic Mickey like a paint brush as well.
That Wii controller looks crazy… paintbrush! not a big fan of these type of controllers would rather stick with the ones made by their respective companys but these look awesome
yeah i never get a controller from a 3rd party company but these do look awesome. Might get the TRON wii controller since i don't need anymore ps3 or xbox controllers.
OK i have to admit the tron controllers do look freaking awesome. I don't usually like people making more useless junk for us but these i would fold on.
