Like many of the bigger developers, Konami has been quick to start work with Nintendo’s new 3DS hardware. The biggest news from Konami is the announcement of Hideo Kojima’s Snake Eater 3D: The Naked Sample. This ’sample’ of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is aligned to show off the capacity for stealth using 3D-capable systems.

Additional titles for the 3DS include entries in the Contra, Frogger, and the Winning Eleven / Pro Evolution Soccer series, as well as a game so-far simply titled Baseball.

Konami Digital Entertainment’s President Shinji Hirano was quoted in a press release as saying:

“We are extremely thrilled to confirm that Konami has five major titles in development for Nintendo’s 3DS system. Bringing popular franchises such as Metal Gear Solid, Pro Evolution Soccer, Contra and Frogger to the 3D realm is an exciting endeavor for us and we cannot wait to share more news in the coming months.”
