Capcom has big plans for fans of its third-person action series Lost Planet. The second game in the series, Lost Planet 2, is set to be bigger, bolder, and more action-packed than the previous entry Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. To showcase some of the intense action that players can look forward to, Capcom has released a new video full of bullets, explosions, and dozens of dead and soon to be dead Akrid.

Lost Planet 2 still continues the story of humans attempting to colonize E.D.N. III, still being powerfully resisted by the native alien/insect monsters known as the Akrid. Set ten years after the first title, much of the snow and ice has melted away, uncovering or perhaps leading to the formation of dense jungle environments. Players will romp through a variety of locales through the game’s six main chapters, presumably with each bit of story coming together to form the central narrative.

You know, I never finished the first Lost Planet because my save got corrupted somehow, but the more I see of LP2, especially co-op, I'm inspired to strap in and give it another shot.
